As with most companies, when you start at Hoodoo Digital, we outfit you with everything you’ll need to get the job done. What’s unique about Hoodoo, is that when we outfit you with the things you’ll need to do your job, it feels a lot more like presents have arrived on your doorstep than it does like you’re getting a new work computer.
This is primarily because Hoodoo is a remote-first company. While we maintain an office at our headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah, the fact is that the majority of our employees are remote. As a result, a few days before you start your new gig at Hoodoo, the delivery guy is going to pound on your door, ask for your signature, and leave you with three boxes of new equipment. Somehow, this feels less like you’re starting a new job and more like it’s Christmas morning and Tim Cook is your uncle.

Next, you’ll have the pleasure of setting up your perfect at-home workstation. Things that are obnoxious frustrations in an actual office, like cable management or a chair you hate, are now completely within your control to change, and frankly, it’s liberating.
Part of Hoodoo’s mentality is that we want our employees to have the best technology has to offer so that there are no barriers to doing an excellent job, and this is reflected in the caliber of the equipment we send to each of our employees. Our team is working with cutting-edge technology when we help our customers implement Adobe platforms, like
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or
Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), and to do this, they need to have robust equipment that can handle the demands and rigors of the job. Additionally, we want to make it easy for our employees to work where
they
want to work, and to do this, they need to have specific hardware that allows for mobility.
With this perspective in mind, we also send our new employees a welcome kit. We don’t just want to make sure that you have the tools you need to get your job done from anywhere in the world, we also want you to feel like you’re part of our team. So, in addition to equipping you with the latest and greatest that technology has to offer, we will also send you a Hoodoo welcome kit designed to outfit you with the things you’ll need to dive into the “digital nomad” lifestyle and rep Hoodoo along the way.
We update the welcome kit annually with unique Hoodoo-branded gear. In the past, our welcome kits have featured things like a highly coveted Hoodoo Hoodie, a Timbuk2 backpack, a Yeti tumbler, and even chocolate.
These items (minus the chocolate) are specifically selected to make it easier for you to work where
you want to work - whether that is in a lounge chair on the beach, in a coffee shop in your hometown, in your backyard, or in our headquarters in Salt Lake City.
