Krishnakar Patlolla Completes AEM Sites Developer Certification

There's always lots of good stuff happening at Hoodoo Digital. We are pleased to announce that Krishnakar Patlolla has completed the Adobe Certified Expert exam for the Adobe Experience Manager Sites Developer. This exam certifies that he “has proven knowledge and experience to help clients optimize the value of their Adobe solution.” Adobe provides an exam guide that outlines the things that a Developer should be proficient with in order to pass the exam. 

At a minimum, the candidate seeking to become certified as an Adobe Experience Manager Developer typically has a minimum of 12 months experience working with the AEM Platform. The candidate should be able to perform advanced component development, have a deep understanding of the MVC framework, be aware of frameworks and libraries in AEM. In addition, the MQC will have an understanding of the AEM development life cycle.

Familiarity with the following technologies and environments:

• Set up local AEM environments
• Create basic components based on core OOTB components
• Create and maintain LESS files
• Define the developer’s process
• Set-up a new project structure
• Create and edit a dispatcher rule
• Configure workflows and create custom workflow steps
• Determine the difference between a traditional AEM components and SPA components
• Work with Assets API
• Set up ACLs and permissions including third-party IDPs
• Set up Multi-site manager for languages and brands
• Set up maintenance tasks
• Third-party integrations
• Implement Cloud Configuration
• Set up Cloud Manager Pipelines deployments
• Maven
• Git
• Development and packaging tools
• Command line tools

When we asked Krishnakar why he wanted to take the certification exam he said: “I would say the main reason for wanting to get my certification was to measure my skills and proficiency with the AEM product against a set standard. My certification is proof that I am a capable and credible AEM developer. There are a lot of AEM developers out there, and having this certification helps set me apart and demonstrates to my clients that I can handle their work.”

Krishnakar is an AEM Engineer and has been with Hoodoo Digital since February 2021. He is a solid full-stack developer and has been a key contributor on multiple projects. We are very proud of his hard work in completing the certification and are so glad to have him part of the Hoodoo team.
