Shivani Garg Completes AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification

There's always lots of good stuff happening at Hoodoo Digital.  We are pleased to announce that Shivani Garg has completed the Amazon Web Service (AWS) exam for the Cloud Practitioner certification. The exam demonstrates an overall understanding of the AWS Cloud, independent of specific technical roles addressed by other AWS Certifications. AWS provides exam guides that outline the things that a Practitioner should be proficient with in order to pass the exam. 

Abilities Validated by the Certification

• Define what the AWS Cloud is and the basic global infrastructure
• Describe basic AWS Cloud architectural principles
• Describe the AWS Cloud value proposition
• Describe key services on the AWS platform and their common use cases (for example, compute and analytics)
• Describe basic security and compliance aspects of the AWS platform and the shared security model
• Define the billing, account management, and pricing models
• Identify sources of documentation or technical assistance (for example, whitepapers or support tickets)
• Describe basic/core characteristics of deploying and operating in the AWS Cloud

Recommended Knowledge and Experience

• We recommend candidates have at least six months of experience with the AWS Cloud in any role, including technical, managerial, sales, purchasing, or financial
• Candidates should have a basic understanding of IT services and their uses in the AWS Cloud platform

We asked Shivani why she wanted to pass the certification and her response was: “I chose to get certified because I wanted to test my knowledge of the systems I work with daily. Additionally, I wanted to make sure I stay up to date on the latest technology in my field.”

Shivani is an AEM Engineer and has been with Hoodoo Digital since September of 2020.  She is an AEM Architect who specializes in the implementation, support, and analysis of numerous Adobe systems for our customers. We are very proud of her hard work in completing the certification and are so glad to have her as part of the Hoodoo team.
