Lauren Cousin

Lauren is a brilliant Software Engineer with several years' experience developing custom test tooling and frameworks. She is also the Director of Quality Engineering. 

She's most experienced in Java and Kotlin (though she's partial to Kotlin), She is a natural born leader and always ensures that her team is delivering quality results for Hoodoo’s clients. 

Lauren's combination of development work, quality assurance experience and automation framework building puts her at the top of her field and a rare find in the tech space.

She has many successful projects in her portfolio and is always paving the way for others to succeed around her.

• Test execution analysis and reporting
• Bug tracking and task management: Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence), Asana, Trello, Zephyr
• Java, Kotlin, Python, SQL (PostgreSQL), JavaScript
•  Automated test development and software testing
• CI pipeline creation using CircleCI, GitLabCI, Jenkins, Bamboo
• Containerized tests with Docker and Kubernetes
• Backend API development in Java and Python to test REST endpoints and end-to-end integration

Lauren enjoys playing around with machine learning libraries and building mobile apps in her free time. She enjoys playing video games and watching movies. Lauren has a dog and two cats that love stealing her chair whenever she gets up for even a moment and when she needs a break from screen time she enjoys exploring Salt Lake with her husband and friends.
