Rightpoint Customer Bungie Scores Big in the 2022 Adobe Experience Maker Awards

On June 24th of this year, Adobe announced the winners of the 2022 Adobe Experience Maker awards – including The Maverick Award, given to world-renowned video game studio, Bungie, who partnered with Rightpoint to utilize Adobe Commerce to improve their eCommerce experience. 


The Maverick Award is reserved for the best company or individual that pushes the boundaries of innovation in customer experience, work management, marketing, advertising, or commerce through bold, out-of-the-box thinking and groundbreaking use of an Adobe Experience Cloud Solution. 


The name Bungie is probably familiar to those that have played one of their wildly popular games, such as Halo or Destiny. Rightpoint nominated them for the award due to their successful transition to Adobe Commerce. 


Now that Bungie is powered by Adobe Commerce, they have access to analytics that enables them  to use almost ten years of previously unused player data. Additionally, greater personalization capabilities allow them to deliver relevant products to their customers – of which there are many. To serve their huge market of eager gamers, they needed a way to allow players to buy quickly, especially on the release dates of new games, and they used Adobe Commerce to deliver that experience. 


The most impressive feat was the launch of “Bungie Day,” which produced 23,000 orders in just a few minutes. This proved that Bungie was well-equipped to handle more instantaneous orders, to sell ahead, and provide gamers with personalized merchandise. The result is increased enthusiasm and loyalty from the numerous gamers that know and love their products.
